The goal of each symposium are to increase the knowledge and understanding of the history pertaining to the Grand Canyon and adjacent areas, and to promote communication and sharing among Grand Canyon historians, writers and enthusiasts.
Presentations are made by selected speakers who have conducted research in a wide range of Grand Canyon history subjects, including:
Native American history, exploration of the Canyon and plateau, art history, prospecting and mining, the Colorado River, Grand Canyon Village, roads and trails, the National Park Service, and many other areas.
