In a follow-up to his 2024 Virtual Outing presentation of Grand Canyon Then & Now, GCHS member and NPS volunteer, Ted Barone, will showcase North Rim historic photos and his 2024 rephotographs.  We’ll meet such figures as “Uncle Jim”, Dee Wooley, David Rust, Boyd Moore, Ansel Adams, and Teddy Roosevelt.

Speaker Bio
GCHS member and author, Ted Barone is a volunteer with the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, leading tours for several years at Alcatraz and more recently at Muir Woods.  In 2018, he developed an online photo exhibit entitled “Ghosts of the Golden Gate: Then & Now” for the GGNRA which he has since replicated at Yosemite, Death Valley, Point Reyes, Redwood, and now the Grand Canyon.  Ted is a retired high school principal, history teacher, naturalist, and outdoorsman.
