The North Rim of the Grand Canyon provides amazing remote beauty very differently compared to the South Rim. Today, it remains largely undeveloped with forests that are about 1,500 feet higher. In this talk Davy Crockett will cover the history of developing the North Rim for visitors starting in 1902 by visionaries from Utah who believed that someday it would be visited by thousands of people. The difficult construction of the amazing Grand Canyon Lodge will be covered and many photos that have rarely been seen will be shared.
