39-year-old Eric, 29-year-old Paul and Casey, have been exploring Glen Canyon’s slot canyons for years. Erik started exploring slot canyons in Zion National Park in 2010. With a home-base in Bellingham, Washington, Erik traveled yearly to the Escalante, San Rafael Swell, and Capitol Reef until he discovered Glen Canyon. Two boats later, he became curious about Glen Canyon before Glen Canyon Dam and met Keturah Pennington (see her oral histories on this page). This interview was conducted in Glen Canyon near Driftwood Canyon during a historic photo rematching trip.
